Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento Written test in which the examinee must treat four of the six issues proposed. Oral examination is optional and only accessible to those who get at least eighteen in the written test.

Obiettivi formativi The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge: to analyze a holiday, to classify the tourist routes and to analyze some types of tourism through the study of their routes. At the end of the course the student: will understand the current system of organization of a holiday; will be able to organize a trip with its route; will be able to analyze the characteristics of some types of tourism and will know the types of routes for some particular tourism.
Prerequisiti None.
Metodi didattici The teaching will be conducted through lectures, held by the teacher or by experts, and through exercises and group discussions.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento The exam is written (about an hour, open questions) to understand the basic concepts presented during the course and to know the student’s critical skills. The final mark will include all the students' research activities the students (individually or in groups). The student can try the exam for a maximum of three times per year.

Obiettivi formativi The course aims to provide students with a framework of knowledge for the acquisition of tools and methods for analyzing, understanding and the conscious use of cultural heritage. It will visually present: artifacts of an artistic nature, represent the history of civilization, and in context, represent the local, regional and international areas. The reading and interpretation of the works of art will be analyzed in relation to the historical context, geographical and cultural affiliation. The students will find hidden meanings within the relationships between artists and patrons. And they will examine what resources were allocated by the company who purchased the art, and the techniques used to employ the artists. Students should be able to operate by noting similarities and / or differences between the languages and stylistic form of the different ages we considered.
Prerequisiti Students responsability: Attendance To ensure success, class attendance is recommended
Metodi didattici The course makes use of the following teaching methods: lectures with the help of iconographic material, analysis and discussion of case studies, and exercises and guided tours. The teaching methodology aims to integrate knowledge acquired by students in the arts, in geography, and in economy and tourism. The students will seek to develop the ability to forge links with other disciplines, noting that the work of art flows together with the aspects and components of the different fields of knowledge. This methodology will promote the activation of a deep interest and responsability in the artistic heritage and landscape, weather it be local or not. It is based on the awareness of its aesthetic value, and its historical, cultural and economic components.
Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento The student is required to pass a written test and to present a thematic study or an individual artistic itinerary.

Contenuti The course is structured in two main parts. The first part presents an overview of the different phases of the Project Management approach, and in particular of the Project Cycle Management. The second part offers a cognitive-methodological reference that is necessary to set up, to program and to plan the local tourism development through tourist projects and initiatives of territorial marketing.

Obiettivi formativi The course aims at providing an overview of the necessary methodologies, tools and practices to design, plan and manage initiatives and suitable projects for the development and promotion of touristic destinations, from both public and private point of view, using also examples and case studies. In particular, the attention will be focused on the issues of project management, of project cycle (project cycle management) and its cognitive support system. The ultimate goal is to enable students to manage the entire life cycle of a tourism development project in order to operate effectively in companies or public entities involved in the promotion of the territory and of the tourism.

Obiettivi formativi First part: The management of tourism companies requires a decisional process able to integrate Accounting methodologies and Managerial Economics models with the knowledge of the activities that characterize firms providing a wide range of services. In view of this aim, the course examines the basic elements for the definition of firms policy for strategic design in specific market areas, with a particular focus on operating activities and on costs advantages. Second part: With a focus on hospitality industry and tourism sectors the course aims to transfer innovative methodologies to analyse the critical issues in these sectors. The teaching activity concerns the following units: a. the first unit relates to the diversification processes and strategies in the hospitality sector and to understand crisis management; b. the second unit aims to create innovative competences to market and manage tourism and cultural products.

Obiettivi formativi The course introduces the fundamentals of general geography of tourism and leisure, developing the issues related to the analysis of tourism supply (locations, destinations, districts, product planning), demand (tourists behavior, images, representations, marketing) and international tourist flows (macro-regions, transport). Provides tools for analyzing geo-strategies in the tourism industry (international organizations, hotel industry, transport companies, tour operators) and the relationships between tourism, natural environment, cultural heritage and landscape. It also provides the basic knowledge of the regional geography of tourism and the spatial organization of tourist sites. Finally provides methods for the analysis of tourism markets and the behavior of tourism supplier.

Obiettivi formativi The course aims at introducing the student to the general framework of the tourism organization. To achieve such goals, the teaching activity will be structured around three macro-areas. Firstly, the concept of tourism organization will be analysed, highlighting how the organization theory may support the analysis of the tourism activities. Secondly, the course will focus on the analysis of the relationships between information and communication technology and organization, in order to explain how the innovation in the ICT field impacts on the organization of tourism enterprises. The final section of the course will be devoted to human resource management in the tourism sector.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento The examination can be done by two ways: - Partial exams. The student who attended the lectures of the course has the opportunity to do two partial exams. The student can access the second partial exam only if he has passed the first test with a mark of at least 18/30. - General exam. The student who fails one of the two intermediate exams or who chooses the general examination, must pass a written test, concerning the full course program. Student who pass the written examination with a mark of at least 18/30 will have access to the oral test, subject to revocation, in one of appeals of the same session which supported the written examination.
Programma esteso Aim of the course is to provide students the skills necessary to elaborate the following subjects: - consolidation of methodological expertise acquired during the course of Business Administration (considered a prerequisite) for the detection of accounting processes; - preparation of financial statements in accordance with economic logic; - development of good evaluation capacity of balance sheet items in accordance with economic principles, the legal framework and tax laws; - determining taxable income and taxes; - preparation of cash flow statement; - analysis of the economic and financial situation through the interpretation of financial ratios.

Attendance is not required, but ti is strictly suggested, especially for absolute beginners.

Obiettivi formativi The course aims at providing, on the one hand, some basic knowledge, supplementary to the course of Fundamentals of geography, which are essential for the analysis and interpretation of the territorial organization of tourism, of the conditions and of the effects of its development in various geographical scales. On the other hand, it will provide theoretical and practical knowledge, which are fundamental for the preparation of geographical-regional monographs for tourists and are preparatory to the planning of travel and touristic itineraries. Starting from the methodologies and tools useful for the analysis and the representation of natural landscapes, the course will explore later the wider issue of geographical and social landscapes, of cultural landscapes, with reference to the relationship between geography and other disciplines that deal with landscape (from architecture to cinematography). In summary, the course will enable students to acquire skills and capacity to carry out activities and initiatives such as: travel guide, technician in planning and organization of tour packages, travel agent and tour operator, operator in local tourism companies, operator in the planning and programming context and in the territorial promotion at various levels of public governance.

Contenuti The module is an introduction to anthropology and the ethnography of Italy. In particular, it investigates issues concerning the reinvention of traditions and the retrieval and preservation of folk cultural heritage, which is a fundamental element for the creation of and access to the new touristic horizons.

Contenuti The unit consists of the following key areas: 1. Business administration; 2. Accounting. As per business administration, the following topics are addressed: - the enterprise system: definition, general and specific environment, balance sheet and the characteristics of the business system; - the firm's analysis of the functional areas (and alternative approaches); - functional areas of the industrial enterprise: strategic planning, marketing, production and logistics, research and development, finance, organization and personnel, administration and management control. Leaders in hospitality industry, tour operators and transport manager are hosted to promote a discussion on the contemporary issues of business companies. Regarding the accounting area, the following main topics are analyzed: - the double entry method for recording accounting operations; - the main administrative events: purchases of goods and services in the domestic market, purchases of goods and services in the foreign market, purchases of fixed assets, sales of goods and services in domestic and foreign market, collections and payments in national and foreign currency, salaries, insurance and financing transactions; - Closing and preparing financial statements.

Obiettivi formativi The course aims to provide basic geographical knowledge, methodological and content-related, in preparation for the analysis and interpretation of spatial organization, as well as the conditions and effects of tourism development at different scale levels. In particular, it provides the essential principles of the systemic approach and the main theoretical and practical criteria to analyze and represent the Earth surface - and the regions in which it is articulated - as a product of human activity. The course also provides the basis for analyzing and understanding territorial organizations, at urban, regional and national scale, as well as the key interactions between the physical environment and social environment, allowing interpreting geographic differentiation of the relationship between man and nature as an expression of different social relations. Finally, provides the basic techniques of spatial analysis and cartographic representation.

Metodi didattici The teaching will be conducted through lectures, held by the teacher or by experts, and through exercises and group discussions.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento The exam is written (about an hour) divided into two parts: the first is a test with multiple choice questions, to understand the basic concepts presented during the course; the second is with open questions to know the student’s critical skills. There are two intermediate tests, the first after 32 hours and the second at the end of the course . The final evalutation will be the average of the marks obtained in the interim tests. The student can try the exam for a maximum of three times per year.

Contenuti Publci Law: • The course promotes better understanding of Italian public institutions and of the Constitutional framework in which they function. In particular, It examines the structure of our government and focuses on the distribution of power among the public institutions, and the division of power between the central state and the regions. The course will carefully consider the fundamental rights protected by the Italian constitution and the jurisdictional guarantees for rights. Moreover, special attention will be given to the problem of European integration and to the analysis of the validity and effects of EU law in the Italian legal system. Private Law: After a general introduction to civil law systems, the attention will be focused on the Italian legal system.
