The aim of the course is to provide the coordinates essential to orient oneself in the varied and multiform panorama of european liberalism since 1848 untill 1918.

objective of the course is to equip students with the fundamental requirements to understand European history from 1848 to 1918

The minimum requirement is a basic kwonledge of italian and european historical events in the contemporary era.

The course will develop with oral lesson of frontal type

For any and all clarifications, the teacher remains available in the interval time or with e-mail.

In the appropriate exam sessions will be an oral examination of the course given during the year.

The course will start from 1848 and end seventy years later because the first date marks the definitive collapse of the so-called ancien regime, while the second marks the birth, development and almost definitive crisis of a Europe that was established in the second half of the nineteenth century and of the early years of the following century, according to a bourgeois political, economic and social order.

The Course’s Purpose is to ensure that the Students are able on one Hand to distinguish the different european Variants of Liberalism, on another Hand that they can identify the common bottom Lines.
