Course Contents
The course is aimed at providing the student with the knowledge and related practical skills of applying the tools for planning organizational changes in the field of primary care and prevention. In particular, the first part of the course has a general nature and is aimed at presenting the object of study "health system", to ensure that the student begins to master the terminology and the main contents related to it with reference to primary care and prevention and to better understand one's context of reference. The second part, more peculiar, represents the application of the theories of Continuous Quality Improvement, Project Management and Risk Management to guide the student in the use of innovative tools for planning organizational changes in primary care and prevention.

Learning Outcomes
The proposed course is generally aimed at guiding students towards a logic of "organizational responsibility" as well as professional, to develop a more balanced vision between the clinical-assistance sphere of work and the economic-managerial one. In particular, the course is aimed at: helping to innovate the complex framework of the National Healthcare System and of the reality of the Health Trusts with particular reference to primary care and prevention and to provide keys for a more in-depth understanding of the organizational dynamics of primary care and prevention.

Teaching Methods
Interactive frontal lesson. Presentations in MS-Power Point format and websites. Lecture-discussion with projection of audiovisuals, discussion of scientific works, group reports.

Assessment Methods
The profit exam is offered in a single session for the entire integrated course. With regard to the part of Organizational change planning tools, before the exam each student will have to present on DIR a case study of mini-planning of organizational changes in their own context to demonstrate the acquisition of the ability to apply knowledge, ability to organizational decision making and problem solving in primary care and prevention (10 points). The next test will consist of an exam session in which the student will be subjected to a quiz test (24 multiple choice quizzes, with only one correct answer, 24 points) aimed at investigating the cognitive aspects and application of knowledge of the discipline of teaching. The duration of the written test will be 30 minutes. Passing the quiz test requires that the goal plus one of the correct answers are provided. The grade will be formed on the basis of the results of the case study and normalized on the basis of the percentage of responses from the cohort (best performance of the first session). To achieve a 30/30 cum laude score, the student must in any case demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course.
Detailed Syllabus
At the end of the course students will be able to describe and develop effective organizational changes in primary care and prevention, through the study of:
• Main health system models, principles, historical evolution and models of the National and Regional Health System and the main organizational models of primary care and prevention in companies;
• Principles and logics of organizational innovation: management by processes – Time Management;
• Change Management techniques in healthcare: Project management.
• Clinical Risk Management: Concepts and definitions, epidemiology and impact, sentinel events. Implementation strategies. Risk definition tools. Risk analysis tools.
Expected Learning Outcomes
In order to achieve the knowledge and skills corresponding to the level of sufficiency, the student is asked to demonstrate:
Knowledge and understanding: the concept of organization, the models of analysis of health organizations, the establishment of the National Health Service, the structure of healthcare companies, project management.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: ability to apply the knowledge acquired during the course and to understand the concepts of health organization and design in healthcare.
Autonomy of judgment: ability to understand and interpret health models and evaluate proposed projects.
Communication skills: ability to expose concepts clearly, in both oral and written form, using appropriate scientific language.
Learning skills: Ability to use the knowledge acquired to participate in seminars and / or in-depth study courses.
