Course Contents
The course provides the basic knowledge students need to organise, plan, manage and evaluate tourism projects. In addition, the knowledge needed to understand the foundations of the tourism system, products and destinations will be provided.

Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge necessary to:
- learn the characteristics of the tourism system and the tourism supply chain
- learn the tourism products and tourist destinations
- know the tools of Project Management

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- design, organise, manage and evaluate a tourism project

The teaching will be conducted through lectures, exercises and group discussions.

Assessment Methods
The final exam consists of a written test (in Italian) that will focus on all the material downloadable from the course Moodle page.
In particular, the test is based on six open questions that aim to verify the understanding of the basic concepts presented during the course and to know the student's critical skills. Each question is worth 5 points, for a total of 30/30. The exam will be considered passed upon reaching 18/30.
With reference to the “Intended learning objectives” (see below), the following grades correspond to different skills: 18-22/30-sufficient, 23-25/30-satisfying, 26-28/30 good, 29-30 lode-very good.
For those attending, a possible project (individual or group) may be foreseen.
Detailed Syllabus
The course is divided into four-hour lessons whose content is divided as follows:

- definition of tourism and tourism supply chain
- the current tourism scenario
- tourism product, experiential and digital tourism
- destinations, Dmo and tourism promotion
- Tourism products and UNESCO heritage
- Designing tourist itineraries
- Tourism planning and accessibility
- Territorial planning, destination branding and destination marketing
- Project Management (Part I and II)
Expected Learning Outcomes
In order to achieve the knowledge and skills corresponding to the minimum level of sufficiency, the student is asked to demonstrate:

(KNOWLEDGE)
- know the tourism system and the current tourism scenario
- know the main elements of territorial planning and tourism promotion
- know the methods of conceiving, designing and evaluating the construction of a tourism project;

(SKILLS)
- to understand the dynamics of the tourism sector;
- to be able to design and manage various types of tourism projects;
- to have developed the ability to reflect and the autonomy of judgment on the problems related to the management and evaluation of tourism projects.

(TRANSVERSAL SKILLS)
- be able to present, both orally and in writing, a tourism project, highlighting the methods used and the results;
- be able to read, understand and comment on technical material from books, manuals or other sources;
