The course presents the contents related to the human anatomy of the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems. Macroscopic and functional anatomy are presented with notes to the clinic.

Learning Outcomes
The Human Anatomy I module provides the basics of osteoarthritis, myology, and the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems, with particular emphasis on functional anatomy and a brief overview of microscopic anatomy, essential for medical practice. The concepts are presented through classroom teaching, practical exercises, and laboratory sessions, complemented by lectures led by clinically experienced instructors.

Assessment Methods
Learning assessment is conducted through an initial written test and a subsequent oral examination. The written exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions (5 answers for each question, with only one correct answer). There are 15 questions covering general information on the subject and the musculoskeletal system, and 15 covering the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. Students will have one minute to respond to each question. A correct answer is worth 1 point; errors are not deducted. The written exam will be administered online (personal PC or in a computer lab). A passing grade of 18 correct answers out of 30 will allow students to proceed to the oral exam, which will consist of a maximum of three questions on topics covered in class. The grade for the Normal Human Anatomy I exam, awarded only upon successful completion of the oral exam, will be counted, along with the grades for Normal Human Anatomy II and III, toward the overall grade for the Integrated Course in "HUMAN ANATOMY." Since this module is part of an annual course (HUMAN ANATOMY), an ongoing exam may be scheduled at the end of the first semester. This will follow exactly the same exam procedures as the regular exam sessions. For students with learning disabilities, individual instructions will be taken into account for the exam, according to the appropriate procedures.
Detailed Syllabus
Generality. History of Anatomy (basic). Descriptive anatomical terminology, anatomical position, definition of position and movement, organs, apparatuses and systems. Locomotor system. Generality, structure of the bone elements, anatomical-functional description of the bones of the human skeleton; typology, structure and functional meanings of the joints; striated muscle and smooth muscle structure, descriptive and functional anatomy of the muscular system; descriptive and functional anatomy of the osteo-arthro-muscular complexes, also referred to gender specificity. Cardiovascular system. The pericardium: relationships and descriptive and functional anatomy. The heart: position and relationships. Descriptive and functional anatomy of the cardiac organ (cardiac cycle, system of conduction of the heart, fibrous skeleton, spraying and innervation of the heart). Vascular system: general information on veins and arteries, topographic anatomy of arterial and venous pathways and vascularization. The lymphatic system: general. structure of lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, topographic organization of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes, lymphoid organs.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Solid knowledge of the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems. The student will have acquired the skills in the anatomical field useful for continuing their studies in the medical field with particular reference to the knowledge of the osteoartroarticular and cardiovascular systems.
