Motor control and motor learning in childhood.
Classification and rehabilitation treatment of movement, posture, balance and walking disorders in childhood.

Learning Outcomes
learning the scientific bases of recovery after neurological injury, of motor learning mechanisms and of plastic modifications induced by exercise in childhood. The neurolophygical and biomechanical bases of posture and balance control and their rehabilitation will be exposed. Some central and peripheral neurological pathologies in childhood will be described; rehabilitative programs to obtain the optimization of the functional recovery in relation to the treatment’s goal will be discussed.
Prerequisites
The student must be confident with basic concepts of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and myo-articular physiology.

Major neurological diseases which may cause disability in childhood
Expected Learning Outcomes
Identify the preventive and rehabilitative needs in people with neurological pathologies in the different phases of life, through the evaluation of clinical data and individual characteristics. Design, plan and perform physiotherapy interventions.
