Course Contents
The course will present and discuss clinical cases encompassing neoplastic and non-neoplastic hematology. It will provide the basis for a critical interpretation of the objective findings of the haematological patient, including the role of physical signs, blood counts and biochemistry, imaging and coagulation testing.

To be able to diagnose simple hematological conditions and to identify patients that need to be referred to specialistic work-out with or without urgency

The course will be useful for the Hematology exam where questions on clinical cases are present both in the written and oral tests
Detailed Syllabus
At least: 3 cases on anemia 3 on coagulation disorders 3 on lymphoma 3 on Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and plasma cell disorders 3 on acute leukemias
Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course the students will be able to conduct a basic diagnostic work-up and to identify potentially life threathening conditions
