The objectives are those recommended at C1 Level in the Common European Framework.

For students registered in the bachelor's degree in Modern Foreign Languages: passing the integrated exam of French Language II (language proficiency level obtained: B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Seminars with audio-visual aids.

The DIR service will provide detailed programs, instructions for the obligatory work, examples of written tests, and exercise sheets.

Written and oral separate.
The written test is divided in two independent parts: 1. Translation 2. Summary/essay. Written test mode: 1- Duration: 3 hours for the translation: 4 hours for the essay and 2 hours for the summary. 2-Articulation of the test and evaluation criteria: a- Summary: score in \30; b-Essay: score in \30; Translation: score in \30. Final evaluation in \30. Minimum score to be admitted to the oral test: 18/30. II Oral test mode: 1-Duration: ca. 15 min. 2- Articulation of the test and evaluation criteria: presentation and discussion of the obligatory work carried out by the candidate. Final mark in \30 calculated in this way: final score of the written test + a maximum of 3 points for the oral test. Students will have the opportunity to take advantage of an esonero instead of the final oral exam, with the presentation of the compulsory work in the last lessons of the course, before the start of the summer exam session. In this case, the research must be delivered by May 22, 2023.

The course prepares for the following techniques
1. Translating prose texts from Italian into French (4 hours, every other week, for a total of 48 hours per year). Group A is dedicated to the translation of contemporary, literary, journalistic and non-fiction texts, while group B is dedicated to the translation of texts relating to the field of tourism. The choice of course is up to the student at the beginning of the academic year, depending on the slant he/she wishes to give to his/her language training. Each group corresponds to a different examination paper.
2. Summary/theme (4 hours, every other week, totalling 48 hours per year). 2.1: Summaries of articles from the press or French non-fiction literature relating to current affairs and contemporary French civilisation 2.2: Written composition, in close connection with the topics covered under point 2, with a review of targeted grammatical points. . The calendar of teaching activities will be published on the course DIR at the beginning of the academic year.

Achievement of level C1 as defined by the European Reference Framework in the various skills.
