Learning Outcomes
To be able to analyze a collection of texts united by a common theme; organize a structured reflection based on the critical analysis of provided texts within a structured framework; present an oral research related to the topic of Tourism (literary tourism for LM37, tourism planning and management for LM49).
Prerequisites
Language proficiency level B2 - C1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons, Research supervised by the teacher, correction of translations and essays.

Assessment Methods
First written exam (4 hours): writing an essay based on a thematic dossier provided during the exam, related to one of the topics covered in the course. The grade will be given on a scale of thirty.
Second written exam (4 hours): translation of a text from Italian to French (literary translation / non-fiction translation for LM37, translation of a tourism-related text for LM49). The grade will be given on a scale of thirty. Minimum score to qualify for the oral exam: 18/30 in both the first and second exams. Oral exam (20 min.): presentation of the individual research supervised by the teacher, consisting of the design of a tourist itinerary in a French-speaking area for LM49 students, and the creation of teaching activities related to translation skills (translation corpus from Italian to French accompanied by a critical apparatus) for LM37 students. The maximum score for the oral exam is 3.
Detailed Syllabus
The course consists of 96 hours divided as follows:
1. Preparation for translation techniques (literary translation / translation of non-fiction texts for LM37, translation of texts related to tourism for LM49).
2. Preparation for the "dissertation sur dossiers" technique, as well as understanding articles and texts related to the tourism theme.
3. Enhancement of written production (review of logical connectors and awareness of different expressive registers), targeted review of specific grammatical points (C1 level).
4. Preparation for oral presentation techniques (a 15-minute presentation based on individual research supervised by the teacher).
The course is divided into 48 hours dedicated to translation (adapted from ESERCITAZIONI LINGUA FRANCESE III LSM, taught by Ms. Vitroni and Ms. Vialatte) and 48 hours dedicated to the technique of written composition (taught by Ms. Perrin).
Expected Learning Outcomes
Acquire greater confidence in written and oral expression. Strengthen C1 level proficiency according to the CEFR.
Master two techniques: translation from Italian to French and the "dissertation sur dossiers" technique.
Use logical connectors flexibly; identify various expressive registers and text types.
Conduct independent research and in-depth exploration of topics related to tourism.
Be able to independently apply the skills acquired during the course to prepare and present the final individual research paper.
