Course Contents
50 hours (CLEA, GIURISPRUDENZA) of classroom teaching, taught in two groups ('A' and 'B'). The course - which focuses on listening, reading, writing and speaking skills - includes general, academic and ESP-English for Specific Purposes. Elements of grammar and vocabulary for CEFR level B2 will be provided.

Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide the language tools and strategies to be able to communicate in English in the professional field. The course aims to promote general language competence, academic and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) based on the four CEFR-recognised communication skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. The programme covers vocabulary and grammatical structures at B1+ and B2 level.

Attendance is optional but strongly recommended. Please note that it is absolutely necessary for students to have the course material for attending the lectures. For any other material, regular consultation of the course page on the DIR platform is recommended.
Assessment Methods
The exam consists of a written examination of the subject for both attending and non-attending students based on the course textbook and other teaching materials available on the course page on the DIR platform.
The student may take the same examination a maximum of three times in one academic year (for the discipline of exams, please refer to Art. 35 of the Regolamento didattico di Ateneo. Passing the final exam for CLEA and JURISPRUDENCE is valid for the purposes of achieving the exam "idoneità".
The 60-minute examination is written and computer-based and consists of the following three sections:
- Listening
- Reading
- Vocabulary & Use of English
