Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to:
Provide theoretical notions, cultural tools and experiential stimuli that allow students to develop knowledge and skills on the necessary communication between medical science and pedagogy, on the ability to approach the patient and to define a therapeutic-educational project, both in the individual relationship and in the context of a group.

Assessment Methods
Written exam with open question that will cover all the topics included in the educational program with a prevalent focus on the topics dealt with in the lectures and the discussion of clinical cases. The verification of learning will propose a mark out of thirty, which aims to ascertain the actual acquisition by the student of the expected learning outcomes. The exam is passed if the final grade is 18/30 or higher. Top marks with honors (30/30 with honors) will be awarded.
Detailed Syllabus
Pedadogy: from etimology to the integration with medicine. Concept of health and lifestyle, also in the perspective of gender medicine.
Patient therapeutic education. Approach to acute and chronic medical conditions. Working in a group context.
Expected Learning Outcomes
The expected learning outcomes are consistent with the general provisions found within the European Qualifications Framework (Dublin descriptors) relating to knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to demonstrate that they have acquired knowledge about the content of the lessons and the study of the recommended bibliography, which allow them to implement knowledge and pedagogical skills suitable for structuring a relationship with the patient based on the principles of therapeutic education in medicine, both in the individual and group context, with an adequate degree of autonomy.
