- Allow the student to learn the main concepts related to the pathophysiology of reproduction.
- Provide the student with the tools to understand and differentiate between physiological and pathological phenomena related to human reproduction.
- Encourage the connection and application of knowledge acquired in other disciplines to enhance and improve understanding in the obstetric/gynecological field.

- Ovarian cycle
- Medically assisted reproduction: indications, management and counseling to the infertile couple, different techniques, outcomes
- Contraception: indications, contraindications, contraceptive methods, extracontraceptive benefits)
- Pathophysiology of pregnancy: diagnosis, behavioral norms, accompanying birth, pregnancy agenda, physiological changes during pregnancy
- Menopause
-Gynecologic endocrinology: polycystic ovary syndrome, amenorrhea
Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the student must have knowledge of:
- principles of human reproductive pathophysiology
- principles of gynecological endocrinology
