Basic Life Support Guidelines

To train the student to deal with the most frequent emergencies when performing radiological procedures.

The course has no blocks from previous years.

Classrom lectures, discussion-based exercises and simulations

The principles of Basic Life Support will have a theoretical part and a practical part on a manikin. Students with disabilities, learning disabilities or special education needs, once they have contacted the University Staff, can refer to the tutor in charge of the course to define the examination modalities, concerning academic aspects.

Exam with multiple-choice questions

The content of the course program is as follows:
1) General anesthesia
2) Locoregional anesthesia
3) Anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock treatment
4) Basic Life Support: theory and practice (simulations with manikin)
5) Profit exam

Knowledge of the main methods of analgo-sedation during radiological procedures.

Ability to correctly approach a medical emergency during radiological procedures.

Ability to correctly approach a contrast agent anaphylactic reaction.
