Introduction to the Module. Regulatory Background.
Definition of danger, risk, safety. Risks from laboratory activities. Possible causes of accidents in the laboratory.
Risk assessment.
Physical risk.
Chemical Risk. Safety in the use of compressed gases.

DPI and DPC.
General rules of conduct.

Learning Outcomes
The module aims to enable learning the principles that govern the personal safety of the worker and the environment through the knowledge of biological risks and not existing in a biomedical laboratory.
Prerequisites
The student must be in possession of the information imparted during the course of business (A.O.U. Maggiore di Novara Charity) "Health and Safety in the workplace - 81/2008"

Assessment Methods
Oral examination. The student must demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge about the behavior to adopt in the workplace in order to safeguard their own and others' safety and the environment that surrounds it.

The course includes an introduction with reference to the regulatory hints, the definition of danger, of safety risk. Reference is made to the risks associated with laboratory activities and the Possible causes of accidents in the laboratory.
