Course Contents
The course is structured in three fundamental parts: 1. description of collective and individual protective equipment 2. radioprotection of adult and pediatric patients. 3. radiological investigations of the digestive and urinary tracts with the use of contrast medium in adult and pediatric patients.

Learning Outcomes
The module aims to provide basic knowledge about the principles of individual and collective radiation protection and to provide knowledge for carrying out contrastographic technical procedures.
Prerequisites
The student must be in possession of the indispensable notions of anatomy and physics.
Teaching Methods
Video projector and computer or internet connection supplied to the classroom. Presentation in MS-power piont, interactive CD-ROMs and educational websites.
Additional Information
Tutorials The student will be able to practice at the diagnostic department of Radiology.
Assessment Methods
Students must take an oral test concerning the main topics covered during the course.In order to achieve the skills at the minimum level of sufficiency, the student is asked to demonstrate a basic knowledge of the main topics covered in class with a sufficient degree of autonomy.For the achievement of an advanced level, the student must demonstrate an adequate mastery of all the proposed material.The verification is collegiate with the teaching teachers.

Expected Learning Outcomes
The student must demonstrate that he has acquired the fundamental knowledge for the correct execution of diagnostic projections of the digestive and urinary system, appropriately applying the principles of radioprotection, in order to effectively face the subsequent coursesThe student will have to demonstrate that he has assimilated the basic notions of the correct execution of the diagnostic screenings of the digestive and urinary systems, in an adequate manner to effectively face the subsequent courses
