Prof. Pastore will illustrate the characteristics of legal hermeneutics (pre-understanding, hermeneutical circle, interpretative community...) in a context of pluralism of values and cultures. Prof. Donini will present the role of jurisdiction in criminal law, focusing on the role of precedent and on the nomophylactic function of the Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione).
