The course deals with the following topics:
1) The transformations of citizenship
2) The Welfare State
3) Local Welfare

The course aims to provide students with the tools to understand the main characteristics of citizenship and its transformations and to apply them in the analysis of specific territorial contexts.

Lectures

Written exam. The exam lasting 90 minutes will be aimed at verifying, through five questions and discursive answers, the student's ability to understand the central issues of the course.
Evaluation criteria:
- knowledge of exam texts
- mastering of language and terminology.
In the evaluation, the ability to make conceptual connections across the exam text is appreciated.

The Welfare State
- definitions,
- origin and history,
- social policies,
- welfare systems,
- the challenges of the Welfare State.

Knowledge of the elements that make up the concept of citizenship. Knowledge of the mechanisms of Welfare systems. Skills in their use for the analysis of a local welfare mix system.
