Course Contents
The course presents the contents related to the human anatomy of the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems. Macroscopic and functional anatomy are presented with notes to the clinic.

Learning Outcomes
The module of Human Anatomy I provides the basic notions of osteo-arthro-myology and the cardiovascular apparatus, in microscopic and macroscopic, indispensable for medical practice. The concepts are presented during the frontal teaching activity, the frequency of the exercises and the workshops, and consistently, in the classes integrated with Clinical teachers.

2. Practical activities on anatomical preparations: bones and dissections of the heart and large vessels.

Assessment Methods
The exam consists in a first written test followed by an oral.
The written test is based on 30 multiple choice questions (5 answers for each question, of which only one correct answer). The questions are 15 for the general part and for the musculoskeletal system, and 15 for the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. The time available is 1 minute for each question. The correct answer is evaluated 1 point, while errors are not subtracted. The written test will take place on electronic support (personal PC or in the computer room).
Passing the written test with a minimum grade of 18 correct answers of 30, will allow the student to access the oral part of the exam consisting of a maximum of three questions on topics covered during the lessons.
The score of the examination of Human Normal Anatomy I, attributed only in case of passing the oral part, will compete together with the vote of Human Normal Anatomy II and III to the global vote of the Integrated Course of "HUMAN ANATOMY".
Since this is a module that is part of an annual course (HUMAN ANATOMY), a in itinere test may be scheduled at end of the first semester. The pre-exam provides exactly the same examination procedures as for the exams.
Detailed Syllabus
Generality.
History of Anatomy (basic).
Descriptive anatomical terminology, anatomical position, definition of position and movement, organs, apparatuses and systems.

Locomotor system.
Generality, structure of the bone elements, anatomical-functional description of the bones of the human skeleton; typology, structure and functional meanings of the joints; striated muscle and smooth muscle structure, descriptive and functional anatomy of the muscular system; descriptive and functional anatomy of the osteo-arthro-muscular complexes, also referred to gender specificity.

Cardiovascular system.
The pericardium: relationships and descriptive and functional anatomy.
The heart: position and relationships. Descriptive and functional anatomy of the cardiac organ (cardiac cycle, system of conduction of the heart, fibrous skeleton, spraying and innervation of the heart). Vascular system: general information on veins and arteries, topographic anatomy of arterial and venous pathways and vascularization.

The lymphatic system: general. structure of lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, topographic organization of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes, lymphoid organs.
Expected Learning Outcomes
In-depth knowledge of the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems. The student will have acquired the skills in the anatomical field useful for continuing their studies in the medical field with particular reference to the knowledge of the osteoartroarticular and cardiovascular systems.
