written paper/test ("open" answer) to test a candidate about physical equipment MRI and the physical principles.
Collegial valuation with the other teachers of the module.
For the sufficiency a basic knowledge of the proposed contents is required with a good autonomy of exposition and reasoning.
Detailed Syllabus
- Lecture 1 : the main physics aspects (introduction and overview) - Lecture 2: the Imaging Process (Image Types, MRI pulse sequences, gradients) - Lecture 3: physical equipment MRI; New technology (PETMRI imaging, MRI Image guided radiotherapy, High field MR imaging)
- Lecture 4:quality aspects in MRI (MR imaging parameters, image artifacts, optimization and quality controls) - Lecture 5: safety aspects involved in the use of MRI (MR personnel and patient safety ).
Expected Learning Outcomes
to know (KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING) and to apply (APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING) the main physics aspects of the MRI technology.
