Course Contents
The teaching course will present the structures of anatomy, related to the
morphology, topography and function of the different systems and
apparatuses of the human body, focusing the didactic presentation on
the morpho-functional aspects.
Reference Texts
ANATOMIA UMANA
McKinley
on-line edition
Didattic material offered through the DIR platform
Learning Outcomes
The teaching course aims to illustrate the functional aspects of the
organs in their interrelation within the systems and apparatuses of the
human body, highlighting the participation of the different organs in
satisfying the different needs of the body.
Prerequisites
It is required knowledge of biology and histology
Teaching Methods
The teaching course will be provided as oral presentation of the
arguments, with help
of Power Point projections, and classroom discussion.
The projections used in class will be made available to students on the
related DIR pages.

Assessment Methods
Written exam
The exam provides for a quiz test that will be submitted to students, in
order to
evaluate the acquisition of basic knowledge in the various arguments of
the
course.
The quiz test consists of 30 multiple choice questions - 5 options,
only one correct -.
A positive outcome of the test (evaluation for number and type of quiz) ≧18/30
The several quiz will be developed to explore students' knowledge on the
various topics of the teaching course and will be portioned in four areas:
4 questions: Bone & Muscle
7 questions: cardiocirculatory apparatus (3 for heart, 2 for arteries, 2 for
veins or lymphatic system)
16 questions: visceral organs
3 questions: Nervous System
Detailed Syllabus
Integumentary System: Morphology and Function of Cutaneous Structure and an overview of Cutaneous Appendage.
Osteoartromuscular System: Structure and Functions.
Cardiocirculatory System: Anatomy and Function of the Heart and Major Blood Vessels.
Macroscopic Anatomy of the Following Systems: Respiratory, Digestive, and Uropoietic Systems.
Endocrine System: Functional and Anatomical Overview of Endocrine Glands.
Nervous System: Anatomical and Functional Aspects of the Central and Peripheral Nervous System.
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student must have acquired knowledge of the functional
relationships that structures have within the human body.
The student is expected to have acquired the ability to manage his
knowledge in an applicative way with the ability to find information,
identify and investigate thematic aspects related to the homeostasis of
the human body. As well as the ability to use teaching material and
reading of texts for a reasoned and autonomous study.
It is expected that the student has been able to achieve the appropriate
knowledge to present the morpho-functional aspects of the human body
in communicative terms, in a clear and concise way, for presentations
aimed primarily at a general and school age audience.
