Learning Outcomes
The student will be trained to the propedeutical basis of Human Physiology focusing on the basis principles (membrane transport, electrical properties, synapses, muscle). The sistemic physiology will be revised in the main aspects. In the following degree upper levels the student will have the knowledge to go on deeper in the study of physiology
Prerequisites
Knowledge of anatomy and cellular physiology. It is a constraint a goog knowledge of general and organic chemistry and physics

Assessment Methods
The exam is only an oral test composed by 5 questions concerning the topics of the course. The exam aims to verify the global knowledge level of the treated arguments and to define the rationale and critical capabilities in dealing with the subject. The full comprehension of the physiological topics is determinant for passing the exam. It is required to answer to 3 over 5 questions to obtain the minimal graduation (18 /30). The laude will be given just in case of critical, analytical and logical discussion of each question

Expected Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and comprehension skills: acquisition of basic topics of preparatory physiology and basic physiological mechanisms. Use of an appropriate scientific language. Acquisition of anatomical and functional characteristics of living systems, control mechanisms in physiological systems. It’s expected a synthesis ability and moreover the ability to explain physiological mechanisms
Knowledge and applied comprehension skills: ability to identify the main requirements to develop a project; ability to explain and interpret proposed physiological experiments. Problem and quiz solving concerning physiological topics. Knowledge and understanding: At the end of the course, the student will be able to acquire specific knowledge in cellular and organ physiology, including cellular functions and structures in living systems. The course promotes the development of a cross-cutting approach between the various biological disciplines necessary to understand the topics. Students' involvement in improving the course is an essential element of growth and training not only for students but also for teacher.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: acquisition of anatomical and functional organization of living systems, mechanisms of regulation of organ and apparatus functions, synthesis and correlation between the various subjects, interpretation of physiological mechanisms.
