2) BIBLIOGRAPHY FOR THE ORAL EXAMINATION
For the oral presentation, students will read in the original language two of the following three volumes by Gonzalo Torrente Ballester: 1. Don Juan / 2. Filomeno a mi pesar / 3. La saga/fuga de J.B.
Students must bring the read volumes, unmarked or annotated, with them to the examination.

The aims, objectives and functions are those recommended at C1.2 Level.

Advanced language competence level (C1)

Practical language classes and self-study. Use of the Dir service
The course is based on the material contained in the texts listed in the bibliography and on the extra material handed out in class or uploaded to the DIR service.
Additional activities will be carried out in class to strengthen and consolidate linguistic skills in order to meet the objectives of the course

Exam test
Written part in two days: 1) writing in language (3h) and 2) Italian-Spanish translation (3h), to test the advanced level of expressive skills.
In order to overcome the written part, the student must obtain at least 18/30 in both parts (otherwise he will have to re-present himself to the written exam in a subsequent appeal).
Oral part: The oral part, (a few days away): interview aimed at assessing comprehension / expression skills, according to the pre-established level, also starting from mandatory readings.
- In order to pass the examination, the student must achieve a minimum mark of 18/30 in both the written and oral sections. The final grade will be given by the average of the two parts (written and oral).- A written paper will be considered adequate if it presents: lexical richness, morphosyntactic variety and precision, grammatical correctness, according to the level indicated.- An oral paper will be considered adequate if the candidate demonstrates the ability to conduct a rich and fluent conversation on different and in-depth themes (including from readings/viewings), and shows, in addition to mastery of grammar, control of various expressive aspects of the language (non-standard registers and varieties, style, pragmatic aspects).

- Control of learning in itinere: checks in class and at home on the individual topics covered.
Self-study at the Language Center.

Review of the Spanish grammar (syntax) with critical insights. Stylistic improvement of writing expression: language registers (and non-standard varieties), idiomatic expressions, collocations, modismos, refranes); exercises of composition in Spanish and translation from Italian to Spanish (and in reverse). Obligatory reading or viewing of films in original language, also in view of the oral exam.

Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. -Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. -Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. -Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
