The course addresses the areas of intervention of physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a focus on the organizational and regulatory component. The topics covered mainly concern the rehabilitative aspects related to the main orthopedic pathologies of the locomotor system.

Acquire the basic knowledge of the discipline of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with its historical, organizational, and regulatory components. Assimilate the ability to carry out a rehabilitation program in the disabling outcomes of the main acquired and congenital pathologies of the locomotor system in adulthood, evaluating and intervening to reduce impairment and specific disability, within the competence of the professional figure. Deepen the knowledge of disabilities of the cervical-thoraco-lumbar spine and the peripheral nervous system. General knowledge of instrumental physiotherapy.

Basic knowledge of general pathology, anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, and physiology of the locomotor system.

Identify the preventive and rehabilitative needs in people with orthopedic pathologies through the evaluation of clinical data and individual characteristics. Design, plan, and perform physiotherapeutic interventions.
