Course Contents
The course aims to provide a good knowledge of the main communication and writing techniques, taking into particular consideration the type of scientific training of the students and their more frequent academic and professional writing opportunities. For this, the main models of communication are examined, including the principles and maxims of communicating. In addition, the phases of writing are specified and the structuring of the text into paragraphs and paragraphs is deepened. The course also includes a description of the main characteristics of the Italian language, and an examination of the most common grammar and writing errors; these will be detected and monitored in different ways during the meetings, in order to promote a conscious and autonomous re-use by the students.

Learning Outcomes
The course aims to train good competence:
- in the analytical use of communication models
- in the use of the maxims of communicating
- writing verified in all its components (documentation, planning, drafting, revision, editing, publication)
- of the written Italian language
- in the design of written texts
- in the written production of scientific texts.
Prerequisites
Proficiency in the Italian language is required (C1 QCER).
Teaching Methods
Lectures are presented with the use of slides.

Durante il corso gli studenti si impegnano in esercitazioni scritte che sono valutate talora collettivamente, talora individualmente.
Assessment Methods
During the exam, the student is required to compose in writing a text consisting of a report on what they have learned in the course (time: 2h30).
