The course aims to introduce students to the knowledge of European private law by identifying the ways in which EU law is produced, the problems of regulatory impact assessment and the transposition of European private law into national legal systems, as well as the relevant areas affected by this activity. regulatory.The focus of the course will be on the European Union's interventions in the regulation of new technologies.
1. Knowledge and ability to understand: teaching is aimed at enabling students and students to acquire an understanding of the institutional and operating characteristics of the interaction between private law of European source and national law 2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: teaching is aimed at enabling students and students to acquire the ability to apply the knowledge acquired to be able to deal with European private law texts. 3. Autonomy of judgment: students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge, both conceptually and operationally, so that they can dialogue and compare themselves with jurists from other legal systems 4. Communication skills: teaching is also aimed at the acquisition of technical language used in an international legal environment. 5. Learning skills: students will learn about the main information and bibliographic sources and supranational understanding of some features of legal documents of supranational sources.

No background knowldge is required.

Frontal lectures in which the entire program will be covered. Frontal teaching is inclusive of
exercises and simulations that provide for the active participation of students in the
process of learning the subject, through the stimulation of the development of a critical and
autonomous spirit. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended from the
beginning of the course because it significantly facilitates learning the program.

The course addresses European interventions in the regulation of new tech law.
Thus, the following will be analyzed:regulation of dai (GDPR and Data Act); regulations on artificial intelligence (AI Act); contracting on platforms and limits to competition (DMA and DSA); European Health Space (
European Health Space);
the digital security provisions. The analysis of legislative measures is coupled with an analysis of the main interventions of national courts and the European court.

For many it will be possible to achieve more satisfactory results, with which they will be able to be active in the implentation of regulations within the work realities in which they will operate. For some it will be possible to achieve excellent levels of knowledge, which will enable them to become expert jurists in comparative subjects related to law and technologies in the European Space.
