Deepen the knowledge of Neuroradiology and acquire the practical bases related to the radiological technique in this field.

Appropriate are the chapters dedicated to the tomographic anatomy of the central nervous system, of the skull, possibly integrated with the notes taken in class.
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to enable students to learn the basic Neuroradiological Interventional Radiology techniques within the competence of the TSRM.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the basics of vascular anatomy and diagnostic equipment.
Teaching Methods
Lectures with the use of PPT presentations using tutorial and problem solving techniques
Assessment Methods
The assessment of learning takes place through a final exam that verifies the acquisition of the knowledge and skills expected through a written test that includes forced choice questions with 4 alternative answers (or open questions on topics related to the main objectives of the course ).

The partial vote for each module will be mediated (weighted average by number of credits) with the partial marks obtained in the other modules of the integrated course.
Detailed Syllabus
Procedural Knowledge: The radiographer must be thoroughly familiar with the various interventional radiology techniques, such as angiography, embolization, guided biopsies, percutaneous drainage, etc. Equipment Use: The program includes learning how to use advanced radiological equipment (angiography, interventional CT and MRI systems, etc.) and specific devices for procedures. Patient Management: The radiographer must be able to prepare the patient for the procedure, assist them during the procedure, monitor vital signs, and manage any complications. Team Collaboration: The radiographer works closely with the radiologist, nurses, and other healthcare personnel, actively participating in the planning and execution of procedures. Safety: The program emphasizes patient and staff safety, including the proper management of radiation and materials used. Professional Ethics: The radiographer must operate in compliance with the ethical and professional principles of the profession.
Expected Learning Outcomes
The exam consists of an oral exam, in which the student is asked several questions on the main topics covered during the course. The difficulty level of the oral exam corresponds to the syllabus covered and the reference texts indicated.
