Course Contents
Course of the patient. Introduction and simulation route. Equipment for telecobalt therapy and accelerator, differences in technology. Multilamellar collimator. Immobilization systems. Castings and protections. Accessories and their manufacture. Dual image x-ray controls and positioning verification systems. Modulated intensity radiotherapy, stereotactic radiotherapy IGRT techniques. Respiratory gating techniques. Errors.

Learning Outcomes
The training objective is to learn about radiotherapy equipment, its use and the ability to apply new knowledge in patient management, from simulation phase to radiotherapy treatment.

The student must have knowledge of Anatomy, Physics, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology.

Theoretical lessons in the classroom and practical lessons in the ward
Assessment Methods
The verification of learning is done by submitting a questionnaire with open-ended and multiple choice questions on topics of radiotherapy proposed during the lessons.
