Course Contents
theoretical principles and practical aspects of main experimental models used in preclinical research
Reference Texts
Material provided by the teacher
Learning Outcomes
Provide the theoretical basis of the main methods used for the generation and use of experimental models in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo, used in preclinical research
Prerequisites
The student must know cellular biology and basic genetics and, in particular, the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate replication, cell growth and the gene expression program in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms.
The student must also know molecular biology, histology and the main techniques related to recombinant DNA technologies
Teaching Methods
Classroom lessons.
Students with physical disabilities, Learning Disabilities or Special Education Needs can request specific services and tools via the Staff Sviluppo e Coordinamento Carriere e Servizi alle Studentesse
e agli Studenti, consulting the University webpage: https://www.uniupo.it/en/services/services- students-physical-or-learning-disabilities.
Students with disabilities, learning disabilities or special education needs, once they have contacted the University Staff, can refer to the tutor in charge of the course to define the examination modalities, concerning academic aspects.
Additional Information
Supplementary materials will be available on DIR website
