The course is developed in two modules. The first provides a brief introduction to the key concepts of geography: place, territory, scale, region, etc. The second analyzes territorial logistics in terms of infrastructure, commercial and energy networks, urban mobility, etc. A series of case studies will be presented as an in-depth analysis of the topics covered.

The course consists of lectures and thematic seminars for further study. Attendance is recommended. The teaching method consists of explaining the main concepts of the subject matter through lectures. During the lectures, there will be classroom discussions (including small group work) on the topics and subjects covered in the course, both at a theoretical and practical level. Active participation in lectures and group work forms part of the assessment of the students' level of learning and development.

A pass mark is achieved by demonstrating basic knowledge and skills on the topics covered in the course and possession of an adequate vocabulary. Excellence is achieved by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the topics required in the oral examination, linking them to concrete examples and demonstrating a critical understanding of the institutions studied.

1) Knowledge and understanding: Knowledge and understanding of the theoretical concepts of geography and territorial logistics. Knowledge of the historical evolution of logistics. Understanding of the connections between the different components of the logistics sector with different objectives of sustainable development and economic growth.
2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: Ability to analyze territorial contexts and prefigure sustainable actions in the logistics sector. Critical skills for structuring and presenting a logistics project.
3) Learning/study skills: Ability to combine theoretical and methodological concepts with research through bibliographic sources and direct observation of data and territories. Ability to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different logistics tools in the context of sustainable development.
