The seminar's exact content has not yet been finalized. As in previous years, it will include a series of lectures delivered by an external guest lecturer, a conference, and a book presentation. All of these activities will be connected in some way to the figure after whom the Chair is named.

The reading materials will be provided at the beginning of the seminar

The seminar aims, first and foremost, to introduce students to the life and legacy of Galante Garrone, his values, and his civic commitment to building a better Italy. It also seeks to provide students with an interdisciplinary legal education and to develop their oral and written communication skills.

No background knowledge is required.

Teaching activities will consist of seminar-style classes, collective discussion of the assigned readings, and in-depth thematic explorations. Active participation by students will be an essential component of the learning process, with particular emphasis on the development of critical thinking and oral and written argumentation skills.

Some seminar sessions will be dedicated to introducing students to academic writing

Assessment will be based on active participation during the seminar, the ability to produce short descriptive and critical analyses of texts, and a final oral examination.

The detailed programme will be made available before the beginning of the second semester.

By the end of the seminar, students will be able to:

- demonstrate knowledge of the life, thought, and civic commitment of Alessandro Galante Garrone, situating them within the historical, legal, and cultural context of twentieth-century Italy;
- understand and critically analyze scholarly texts, identifying their main issues and arguments;
- adopt an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of the topics covered during the seminar;
- present their ideas clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing;
- produce short academic texts, such as reading reports and critical analyses, using appropriate academic language and sound research methods.
