At the end of the course, the students must be aware of the relational nature of the nursing profession and specifically of the meaning to be attributed:

- The importance of professional identity to promote the culture of relationships and the professional values that underlie every assistance act.
The students will also have to apply the ethical and deontological principles of the profession in placing the person and the family at the center of the care plan
Finally, the students must demonstrate that he has acquired autonomy of judgment and communication skills with respect to the clinical situations presented.

Lectures will be used to acquire basic theoretical knowledge, discussions of clinical cases and care situations in order to plan interventions in the relational field as well as role plays and film screenings to apply relational communication skills. TBL

The learning test will be characterized by an oral test which includes questions aimed at verifying theoretical notions and content and reasoning and planning questions based on clinical care situations. It will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.

- Understand and discuss the strategies for initiating and maintaining interpersonal and helping relationships and strategies in particular cases (aggressive, angry patients, patients with a depressive profile, patients with anxiety and fear, hearing impaired or visually impaired patients)
-describe ways of overcoming conflicts as a team
- to know the relevance of cultural variables in the relationship and their impact in the professional relationship.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
the student will be able to:
- apply the theoretical knowledge on communication and relationship to clinical cases
- apply the knowledge and skills acquired to conduct the nursing assessment
- take responsibility for the helping relationship as an instrument of nursing action
-to make decisions through a professional approach aimed at solving the patient's relational problems.
-decide the fields, limits, method and tools of professional action in relation to the progress of curricular learning during the internship.

- use appropriate terminology to describe the logic of the helping relationship as a professional competence.

-to develop critical analysis skills of films or simulations of complex relational situations
- hold an oral interview on topics of relational interest for the nursing profession
