Course Contents
The integrated course provides the morphological, structural and functional basis of the human body, developed in its three modules: Histology (organisation of the fundamental tissues), Human Anatomy (macroscopic and topographic structure of organs and systems, with elements of radiological and imaging anatomy) and Physiology (functioning of organs and systems).
The overall aim is a unified knowledge of the human body relating structure and function, useful for the training of the radiographer. For detailed contents, please refer to the individual modules.

Learning Outcomes
The integrated course aims to provide the student with a unified knowledge of the organisation of the human body, from tissues to organ systems, relating structure and function. At the end the student should know the microscopic (Histology), macroscopic and topographic (Anatomy, with references to radiological anatomy) and functional (Physiology) organisation of the human body, as the basis for the practice of the radiographer profession. Teaching Methods
The integrated course is delivered through classroom lectures in the three modules. The Human Anatomy module also includes small-group activities at the Anatomage digital anatomy table and individual work on the correlation between radiological images (X-ray, CT, MRI) and anatomical structures. Teaching material is made available on the DIR (Didattica in Rete) platform. For details of the teaching methods, please refer to the individual modules.

Student office hours are by appointment, to be arranged by e-mail with the lecturers of the individual modules. Notices, announcements and teaching material are published on the University DIR (Didattica in Rete) platform, communicated by e-mail from the lecturers or through the student office (segreteria).

Assessment Methods
The exam is single and integrated for the three modules (Histology, Physiology, Human Anatomy). A written test with multiple-choice questions on the module contents is envisaged; for the Anatomy module, part of it is dedicated to the recognition of structures on radiological images (X-ray, CT, MRI). The final mark of the integrated course derives from the overall assessment of the modules; passing requires a sufficient mark (18/30) in each module. Expected Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and understanding: the student knows, in an integrated way, the microscopic, macroscopic/topographic and functional organisation of the human body, relating the contents of the Histology, Anatomy and Physiology modules.
Applying knowledge and understanding: the student is able to locate and describe tissues, organs and systems and to recognise anatomical structures also on radiological images, using this knowledge in the professional context of radiology.
Making judgements: the student is able to relate structure and function and to integrate the notions of the three modules into a unified view of the human body.
Communication skills: the student is able to describe structures and functions using correct and appropriate scientific terminology.
Learning skills: the student has acquired a study method that enables them to independently update and deepen their morphological and functional knowledge.
