The course will provide students with elements of legal medicine (criminal law, civil law) useful for practicing the profession:
- main crimes against the person and their prosecution ex officio
- consent, medical record, professional and official secrecy
- professional liability
- biological damage and causal link
- injuries and thanatology
- social and private insurance

Students with disabilities, learning disabilities or special education needs, once they have contacted

The learning test consists of closed multiple-choice questions of which only one is correct. The exam is considered passed if students correctly answers at least 60% of the closed questions.

Migrants and medico-legal problems

In order to achieve the knowledge and skills corresponding to the minimum level of sufficiency, students are asked to demonstrate that:
(KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS):
- know and be able to apply the fundamental principles of forensic medicine, with particular attention to what is fundamental in the healthcare professional / patient relationship (informed consent, patient self-determination, TSO, professional and official secrecy);
- know the crimes of interest to the health professional in order to be able to draw up the report for the Judicial Authority;
- know and be able to apply the methods for describing the lesions;
- know and be able to apply the main laws of interest for the health professional (Law 194/1978; Law 40/2004, legislation on organ transplants from living and dead bodies, legislation on the determination of death);
- know and be able to apply the principles of professional responsibility;
- know the medico-legal problems relating to Unaccompanied Foreign Minors;
- know and be able to apply the fundamental elements for the management of victims of gender-based violence.
- know the element of social security

- be able to describe, in written and oral form, the injuries;
- be able to compile a complaint or report for the judicial authority
- know how to manage victims of gender-based violence and unaccompanied foreign minors from a health point of view;
