The course is about transnational public and private tourism law, with a special focus on Italian and European law.

The final goal is to achieve a good confidence on tourism law and its theoretical instruments in order to cope with economical activities related to tourism.

In detail, the objectives are:
- Knowledge of tourism regulations and tourism activities in current Italian and European law;
- Ability to orient oneself in current legislation regarding tourism sector and to identify critical aspects in concrete cases;
- Know how to report and evaluate current legislation and its impact on tourism and local development.

The course is worth 10 CFU, corresponding to a total workload of 250 hours for the student. Of these, 75 hours (divided into 30 hours for the first module, worth 4 CFU, and 45 hours for the second module, worth 6 CFU) are devoted to face-to-face teaching, comprising lectures and interactive teaching activities; the remaining hours are set aside for independent study, through the individual study of reference texts and materials made available on the DIR platform.
Tourism law, which is worth 6 CFU, is structured as follows: 4 CFU of frontal teaching and 2 CFU of interactive teaching (practical workshops)

Private Law

Lectures, analysis of case law and exercises of cases.

Lessons will be completed by images and audio (powerpoint), case studies or in-depth analysis; discussions in the classroom and on the University teaching platform DIR – Didattica Online.

The exam is written. It includes some open questions that will focus on aspects of public tourism law and private aspects of tourism law.
Punctual knowledge of tourism regulations is required. The exam will be successful if you reach or exceed 18/30.
It is also possible to present and discuss a final report about a practical case developed during the laboratory hours. This presentation will average with the written exam.

The program focuses specifically on the gender dimension. This consideration is addressed across the board through an analysis of tourism legislation (both national and international), with particular regard to the protections and rights afforded to tourists.

Knowledge of tourism law and its sources.
Skills in terms of case analysis, texts or regulations concerning the tourism sector. Ability to learn the specific notions of tourism law.
Ability to orient themselves in the current legislation on tourism and to identify application profiles and critical aspects. Knowing how to evaluate concrete problems relating to tourism and its activities. Know how report current legislation. Knowing how to deepen the issues relating to the regulatory regulation of the tourism sector by the study of manuals and reference legislative and jurisprudential texts.
