Course Contents
The lectures will cover the main dermatological diseases of infectious etiology with possible sexual transmission will also be treated.
In detail, the topics covered will be the following:
infectious dermatitis from parasites, bacterial, virus and fungal with possible sexual trasmission.
The lectures will be integrated with practical demonstrations addressed to diagnostics (dermoscopy, direct microscopic examination, cultural examinations, skin biopsy), differential diagnostics and topical treatment, systemic and surgical of the main skin diseases.

Learning Outcomes
Acquisition of basic skills for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the main skin and sexually transmitted diseases.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of anatomy and histology of normal human skin.
Basic knowledge on the morphological characteristics of bacteria, fungi and fungi and on the possible modes of transmission of the same.
Teaching Methods
The lectures will be held with the help of iconographic material, to allow the student to acquire the necessary tools for clinical identification and differential diagnosis of the main sexually trasmitted dermatological diseases. The knowledge acquired during the lectures will be supplemented by practical notions during the pratical training.
Additional Information
Students can take optional periods of attendance at the SCDU of Dermatology with the assignment of credits.
Assessment Methods
Oral exam on the topics covered during the course,
with particular attention to the morphological aspects and to the differential diagnosis between the different pathologies.

Expected Learning Outcomes
Basic knowledge in the field of sexually transmitted diseases. At the end of the course the student must be able to recognize these pathologies, to indicate the rules of treatment and prevention.
