The course aims to focus on the different imaging methods with the relative protectionist aspects for both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. It pursues the objective of illustrating the conceptualities of the diagnostic process.
Below will be given the fundamental elements of semantics and semeiotics specific organ and pathology.

provide students with the main notions of radiobiology, radiation protection, radiodiagnostics, nuclear medicine.
Illustrate the correlation between the clinical picture and the correct use of diagnostic methods.

Students must have adequate training in the fields of anatomy, physics, physiology, molecular basis and human genetics.

Lectures and theoretical and practical exercises in the ward

The teacher gives availability to receive the students to solve the single critical issues with targeted tutoring.

Examination with multiple choice tests and subsequent oral exam on the topics covered and on the diagnostic procedures

At the end of the course, the student must have learned the different methods of diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine in relation to the different clinical pictures and must be able to interpret the results appropriately.
