At the end of course, the student will be able to describe some care models and the significance of nursing

Lectures and teamwork

The final learning test will concern the following teaching activities: 1) Ethics and philosophy of science 2) Disciplinary insights in the nursing field 3) theory and philosophy of nursing sciences 4) Theory and philosophy of obstetric sciences. The exam will consist of an oral test in which the student's ability to apply the knowledge acquired in the course through: - the explanation of philosophical and ethical contents of the nursing and midwifery professions - the examination of an emblematic nursing and obstetrics case and the application of clinical reasoning - the explanation of contents referring to advanced nursing skills. The oral exam will be considered passed if the candidate has demonstrated sufficient knowledge of the theoretical concepts contained in the course and sufficient capacity for clinical reasoning with respect to the proposed cases. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has achieved an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course

Knowledge and understanding (knowledge and understanding)
Students at the end of the course will be able to:
- describe the need for nursing assistance;
- list the differences between nursing assistance and nursing care;
- describe the concept of advanced competence and its development phases

This knowledge is acquired during the theoretical lessons and is evaluated with the written test.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding (applying knowledge and understanding)
Students will be able to identify areas of nursing development through the critical reading of some national and international documents.

These skills are acquired during the lessons and during the group work in the classroom and are evaluated with the written test.
