At the end of the course the student will be able to structure a simple research protocol and implement it.

The exam will consist of an oral test that will assess the ability to apply the knowledge acquired through the critical discussion of a research protocol by arguing design choices and related developments in terms of teaching. In addition, the student will have to demonstrate that he knows the essential aspects of a research protocol, focussed in the context of the critical area by analysing innovative ways of providing assistance for the future educational project. The final assessment of the teaching will be expressed in thirtieths. The praise may be awarded, on the unanimous opinion of the Examination Committee, to those who have obtained a final vote of 30/30. To achieve a score of 30/30 and praise the student will then have to demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course.

- The research protocol: definition and key parts of the research protocol, the process of approval of the protocol by the ethics committee. ; - Data collection tools: fundamental characteristics of a data collection tool, the process of validating an instrument, analysis of the reliability of an instrument, the specificity and sensitivity of the instrument. - Qualitative data collection techniques.

The following are the expected learning outcomes of this training module: Knowledge and comprehension (knowledge and understanding) Students, at the end of the course are able to: - Identify the fundamental parts of a research protocol - identify the fundamental characteristics of a data collection tool This knowledge is acquired during theoretical lessons and classroom exercises are evaluated with both written and oral tests. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding (applying knowledge and understanding) Students, at the end of the course, are able to: - write a simple research protocol; - Collaborate in the conduct of a research study. These skills are acquired during classroom exercises and during computer science classroom exercises and are assessed with both written and oral tests. Making judgements Students, at the end of the course, are able to assess what organisational, training and care problems can be identified to develop a systematic research or review project. This skill is acquired during classroom exercises and during computer science classroom exercises.
