Basic concepts of moral philosophy

Examination materials will be made available to the student at the beginning of the course in the form of handouts.

Interactive face-to-face lectures. Discussion of particular clinical and nursing cases.

The exam consists of a single session for the whole integrated course of NURSING SCIENCES (disciplines: Nursing Clinical Methodology, General Nursing, Professional Ethics, Moral Philosophi). The test consists of a quiz test (multiple choice, with only one correct answer) for Moral Philosophi and an oral test for the disciplines Nursing Clinical Methodology, General Nursing, Professional Ethics.
The oral exam will be held with a single commission at each university
Admission to the oral exam is subject to passing 60% of the Moral Philosophy quiz. (15 questions, 60% = 8 questions). The written test lasts 20 minutes.
To pass the oral exam, student must demonstrate integrated and sufficient knowledges and competences of all module topics and the mark is reported in thirtieths.
The average between the grades of the oral exam, if sufficient, and the docimological certification of the Moral Philosophy test will determine the certification assessment of the teaching.
To achieve 30/30 cum laude, students must demonstrate excellent knowledge of all course topics. The oral exam mark determines the mark of the integrated course.

- The methods of ethics: deontology and consequentialism
- The methods of ethics: utilitarianism and principilism
- Application of the concepts discussed above to practical medical and nursing cases
