The module aims to allow the learning of the main pathologies of the central and peripheral nervous system. In particular, the student must be able to recognize and evaluate the main neurological signs and symptoms and the disability caused by them. This objective will be achieved starting from the anatomical-physiological references, through the study of clinical and instrumental semeiotics, and of the pathological processes causing the main pathologies of the nervous system.

The exam consists of a written test and an oral test. The written test consists of multiple choice questions on the topics in the program aimed at verifying knowledge and understanding of the disciplines of Neurology, Geriatrics, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Dietetic Sciences (14 questions for each discipline for a total of 56 questions). Passing this test (60% for each discipline) gives access to the oral exam of Clinical Nursing in Chronicity and Disability. The oral test aims to evaluate the independence of judgement, the learning ability, the communicative ability in exposing and making connections between the topics. The student must be able to autonomously use diagnostic reasoning and critical thinking, using and correlating the knowledge learned, facing the in-depth discussion on specific welfare aspects relating to two situations of people with disabilities and/or chronic conditions.
