Course Contents
The course covers the understanding and teaching of major mental illnesses (schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder) and minor disorders (anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance use and abuse, personality disorders, disorders of the extremes of life). Notions are also provided on how the relationship is important in relating to patients suffering from psychiatric illnesses within the health profession.

Learning Outcomes
The objectives of the course are:
- to know the psychic functions both as single entities and as a complex set of activities from which subjective experiences arise and the relationship life of the human being.
- to learn the main pathological changes of the aforesaid functions and their reflection on behavior, knowing how to recognize and research the manifestations through the semiological techniques peculiar to psychiatry.
- be able to orientate themselves in the nosography of psychic disorders by learning to recognize the main psychiatric syndromes, indicating their preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitation guidelines.
- demonstrate that they are able to recognize situations of psychological distress in general medicine and to be able to operate correctly.

Assessment Methods
The exam is proposed in a single session for the entire integrated course (Pedagogy, Sociology, Psychiatry disciplines: the test will consist of a test with 14 quizzes for teaching Pedagogy, Sociology and Psychiatry with multiple choice with a single correct answer. The duration of the test will be 45 minutes, passing with 60% of the correct answers of each discipline will give a mark expressed out of thirty which will average with the oral exam of Inf.ca of community and therapeutic education and Inf.ca in mental health and psychiatric.
