The course aims to provide the student with general and targeted knowledge on first aid interventions in case of time-dependent situations that put the patient's life at risk.

The main objective is the recognition of situations that are immediately dangerous to the patient's life and the knowledge of the first basic life support maneuvers.

Lectures. All the teaching material of the course, supplementary and in-depth material will be found on the appropriate space of the University Moodle platform (Ditattica in Rete - DIR).

Students with disabilities, learning disabilities or special education needs, once they have contacted
the University Staff, can refer to the tutor in charge of the course to define the examination
modalities, concerning academic aspects.

Written exam with multiple choice questions. The exam is performed as a single quiz, including questions relating to the other modules of the Integrated Course.

- Concepts of emergency and urgency
- Notes on anatomy and physiology of the human body
- Main cardiological, neurological and traumatological emergency pathologies
- Principles of basic life support

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to recognize the main emergency situations and provide first aid safely.
