• Antibiotic resistance, mechanisms, evolution

The use of antibiotics in Italy: national report (consumption register and health expenditure)

• The use of antivirals in Italy: national report (consumption and expenditure register)
• Critical discussion

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students must be able to achieve specific measurable educational objectives compatible with the topics covered in class
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of bacteriology and virology and related infectious diseases
Teaching Methods
The teaching methods used in the course are represented by:
- Presentations in MS-Power Point format
The course of 1 CFU in total (8 h) is organized as follows:
- 8h of theorical frontal lessons, held in the classroom through the use of power-point slides and in-depth study of the relevant material
The lessons include a continuous direct check in the classroom of the level of understanding of the various topics covered through dialogue in order to stimulate motivation, curiosity, critical spirit, autonomy of judgment

Verification of the knowledge acquired on the subject of the course

Expected Learning Outcomes
LEARNING, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that they know what tools are useful for monitoring prescriptions and the pros and cons connected to these prescriptions.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student will have to acquire useful knowledge for a better rationalization of the prescriptions
TRANSVERSAL SKILLS: The student must also be able to have AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT and ABILITY to COMMUNICATE and motivate his choices
