Research activities at UPO and other research institutions will be presented to provide an overview of the frontiers of the discipline.

The student is able to contextualize clinical practice with the latest developments in the discipline. Stimulate curiosity towards research as a means of improving clinical practice.

Every year we organize: seminars (online and in presence), lectures (in presence), discussions of clinical cases (online or in presence).

The student must attend a number of lessons/seminars equal to the number of hours.

Attendance is recorded both in person and online.

Seminars vary from year to year depending on the possibilities offered by the research of UPO professors and the scientists who come to UPO to give seminars.
Lectures include:
-oncological disease markers
-cell death markers
-misfolding/prion diseases
-primary immunodeficiencies (XLP-1/WAS).

The student is able to understand a research article related to the discipline and relate it to clinical practice.
