Course Contents
Main physiological changes in human body systems in response to the exposure to hyperbaric conditions, microgravity and high altitude
Reference Texts
Power Point slides
Scientific reviews and reports

Fisiologia: dalle molecole ai sistemi integrati Carbone, Aicardi, Maggi EdiSES
Learning Outcomes
The lessons want to elucidate the main changes which occur through the human body when we experiment anomalous environment conditions. In particular we will refer to deep water swimming, high ltitude mountain and spaceflight in microgravity conditions
Prerequisites
It is requested a good knowledge of the normal physiological parameters. Further it maus be well known the function of different organs and, in detail, a ggod knowledge of cardiovascular and respiratory systems, renal system, nervous system and muscular-skeletal set up
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons with internet videos
Assessment Methods
Oral exam
Detailed Syllabus
Hyperbarism: gas changes, hemodynamic alterations in deep water
High altitude: hypossic conditions, cardiovascular and respiratory changes
Nervous system and cognitive functions
Spaceflight: cardiovascular changes, liquid distribution, vestibular control, muscular and skeletal deterioration
Expected Learning Outcomes
Comparison between normal and altered conditions. Environment adaptation countermeasures and adequacy of nutrition
