The course provides knowledge and skills useful for the organization of chemical laboratory activities in high schools.

Notes fron the teacher

Knowledge: basic principles of organization of the educational laboratory. Skills: knowing how to organize chemical laboratory activities for single students and small groups.
Communication skills: being able to explain to the public the principles of the techniques used for laboratory experiments in a simple and clear way.
Critical sense: knowing how to organize laboratory activities for single students and for small groups, knowing how to identify the most important principles

Lectures and laboratory exercises

In itinere learning will be evaluated through classroom and laboratory discussions during the execution of the experiments

The exam consists in writing notes for students on a laboratory activity that the students will have to organize individually. The notes will be discussed during the oral exam.

The fundamental principles on how to organize laboratory activities for high school students will be presented during the frontal lesson prior to the laboratory activities. During laboratory activities, students will have to organize laboratory activities for students by testing the experience itself, identifying the critical points and the difficulties.
