The course will focus on the connection between general and new theoretical approaches. In particular, the rhetorical method and the transformations of custom (soft law, governance, best practice, etc.) from a legal aesthetic perspective will be examined. The following topics will be addressed during the course: - theories of the human, the posthuman, the trans-human and legal humanism in the face of the challenge of robotics; - theories of custom and rhetorical method in the sources of law; - cross-examination and trial; - theory of custom - oral and written techniques of legal rhetoric and legal visual argumentation.

The course distinguishes between attending and non-attending students. The educational objectives of the course are - the critique of the general theoretical approach and the understanding of the rhetorical method in the analysis of law and fact; - the critical analysis of theories of custom as a source in contemporary law; - the learning of basic concepts of the approach proper to the Law and Humanities to legal culture; - the critical elaboration of the problems related to the political use of the image and the use of technology and artificial intelligence in contemporary democracies; - the learning of basic techniques of oral, written and visual argumentation. The course will be held in collaboration with lawyer Piero Pollastro of the Novara Bar, who will speak on rhetorical method and case analysis. (Legal Clinic of Disability) - to deal with anthropological problems that are difficult to solve through a practical and casisitic approach (Summer School) - to learn research methodology through active participation in workshops and research seminars; to work in a foreign language.

In addition to traditional lectures, individual study and participation in research seminars will be offered to attending students.

The examination will take place in oral and written form on the basis of a complex problem aimed at ascertaining critical reasoning ability. For attending students and participants in the Legal Clinic and Summer School, an additional element of assessment will be provided by active participation in the lectures, planned seminar activities and case studies.
