It course will be built around the concept of Art 3 Const and Art 14 ECHR and to European Directive 2000/78/CE
Reflecting on anti-discrimination law in relation to cultural, ethnic, gender and religious profiles

Learning Outcomes
To introduce knowledge of the phenomenon of discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, cultural, gender and religion and to understand which regulatory tools can be used and which good practices can be adopted to counter the phenomenon. About this one will be involved judge, lawyers and other people
Prerequisites
knowledge of the basics of public and private law
Teaching Methods
The seminar will take a case-law approach in its theoretical part, involving students in the discussion of individual cases. In addition, there will be a part of testimonies by legal practitioners (lawyers and magistrates) and social and institutional actors involved in these issues, which will allow us to grasp the practical aspects of the problems of anti-discrimination law.

Section I Lectures on Italian and European anti-discrimination legislation and case law Section II Courtroom simulations on discrimination cases

Acquire 1) knowledge of the basics of the discriminatory phenomenon in the cultural and religious spheres 2) acquire the necessary skills to deal with discrimination phenomena 3) know how to solve problems related to this phenomenon
