Neurological examination with references to the anatomical and physiological bases of neurology.

Knowledge of the main tests that make up the neurological examination. Interpretation of general and focal neurological signs.

Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the central and peripheral nervous system and of the muscle.

"Traditional" interview. The student is asked general questions on diseases listed in the program. The student is provided with paradigmatic clinical cases, and is requested to outline the clinical conduct.The anatofunctional bases, the diagnostic process and the potential treatment are reviewed. The student is tested as for logic reasoning, and knowledge and understanding of neurologic disease. The student is also evaluated for his communication tasks, and the overall ability to deal with specific clinical cases.

1) Examination of vigilance and conscience; Semeoitica of motor systems;
2) Semiotics of the sensitive functions
3) Examination of the cranial nerves
4) Examination of cognitive functions (gnosia, praxia, fasia)

The student must be able to perform and interpret the neurological exam.
