Course Contents
The course will cover the main lymphoproliferative diseases from the diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic point of view. The course will also focus on the research in haematology. For this purpose, clinical trials will be analysed, new therapeutic possibilities with new monoclonal antibodies and with new biological drugs will be presented, and the concept of "benefit sharing" will be introduced.

Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to render the student able to know, interpret and analyse the main hemato-oncological topics of the course that are relevant for a Physician, with a critical attitude, as requested by the Dublin descriptor 3. Specific aims are: a) know the pathophysiology and clinical picture of hemato-oncological diseases toward an appropriate clinical reasoning; b) bei able to critically interpret clinical and lab findings of hemato-oncological disorders, in order to formulate a correct diagnostic workup and an appropriate management of the patient

Assessment Methods
The exam will be in the context of the Integrated Course of which the Hematology Oncology course is part. The exam of Hematology Oncology will be based on 10 MCQs (5 possible answers, of which only 1 is correct), on the topics taught during classes. Examples of the MCQs are on the UPO DIR

Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the pathophysiology, the diagnosis and the main therapeutic armamentarium of lymphoid malignancies. The student will also appreciate, from a precision medicine perspective, the use of molecular diagnostics for choosing the best therapeutic strategy for each patient.
